Computer not detecting graphics card after hard restart

So I noticed my computer was getting dusty so I decided to dust it, two screws fell into the components so I assumed this was the reason why it was not working. When I went to turn on my computer my monitors greeted me with "No Signal" so I went to take out my GPU and put it back in the same spot. That did not work so I just hooked up my display cables to my motherboard to temporarily use the CPU's onboard graphics. I first noticed it was not detecting my GPU when I went to the Nvidia control panel and it told me I didn't have the hardware. When I look in my device manager, only my onboard graphics comes up and nothing else. I already tried to disable it and restart my computer but that did not end too well, zoomed in graphics and computer not actually detecting ANY hardware on my computer, so I reverted back to the onboard.

ok, since you only moved gpu and pc is orking fine without it, lets focus on that gpu

remove it and be sure to clean pci e slot, if there is no dust on slot or card, be sure to reseat it again, that 780ti, does it use two 6 pin cables or only one?

i think it should use one 6 pin and one 8 pin, be sure to reconnect both, otherwise it will not work

For a GPU I have an Nvidia GTX 780 Ti and my PSU is a Corsair CX750M. Before this restart they were working perfectly fine. And to answer you question about the two screws, I did recover them, it was a silly mistake on my part because I was cleaning out the radiator for my water cooler and I forgot to screw them back in all the way so when I tipped the computer back up they fell in, and they were recovered. What I was worrying about was either the static electricity on me touching any solder points or other small components either on my motherboard or the back of the GPU.

So I just went in and took out the card and dusted the PCI-e slot and put it back in only to be greeted with the same no signal screen. Now does it matter which pair of cables I use? Because I have two six pin connectors with a extra 2 pin extension but they are both coming from the same spot on the PSU. After this, I moved it down to the only other available PCI-e slot on my motherboard and still no luck. I know it is working because the fan is moving and the lights are on. I believe there is a data cable and I am realizing that is what my problem may be as I found it laying around in my computer but I didn't think much of it because I thought it was for Corsair Link.

corsair link is to monitor psu if i remember correctly

about the 6 pin and 8 pin, be sure to connect both

if you have both connected the card should work, when connected only one of them, there wont be enoug power for the gpu and it will not work

do you have another psu to try on that pc, or another pc to try that gpu?

also, what do you ue to connect o get imae, monitor? tv?

via vga, dvi, hdmi? displayport?

have you tried connecting with another monitor? another cable?

So I just got the card to work, it turns out it was not seated correctly, when installing the previous times there was no real click but with one swift push I clicked the card into the PCI-e slot and now it works. I am connecting via hdmi as well as DVI. Thanks a bunch for your help it really does mean a lot.
