Computer not displaying

Okay, so first off I built this computer for a friend. I am not new to building computers. With that said, here's what happened: I bring the computer to his house, it's great, everything is working and displaying correctly. It's working for another 4-5 days, then suddenly won't display. My first thought was a gpu problem, but when I took the graphics card out and hooked it into onboard graphics it wouldn't display either. I have tried 3 different monitors, with HDMI, DVI and VGA, but no dice. I have also reset the CMOS . All the fans on the computer are running(PSU fan,Heatsink,Exhaust, GPU fan,etc...). One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't seem to be detecting any devices i.e. the keyboard doesn't light up with caps lock and doesn't seem to restart when I press ctrl alt delete. I'm thinking it's the motherboard, but I'd really like a second opinion if you guys think there's anything else it could be. Longshots are welcome too

Like you said, if no devices appear to be turning on, and all its doing is spinning its fans, it could be anything really, a dead CPU, Motherboard or even Power supply. Replace the easiest component first and use trial and error. I would recommend trying a different power supply first, since they are usually easiest to replace, and will not cost a tonne. Do you have a Motherboard speaker connector? try to find one, or buy one for probably no more than $2, and see if it gives you any POST beeps.

Also make sure no connections are lose, check the CPU and Motherboard cables, and reseat the RAM.

I 99% sure the psu is good. Everything seems to be getting power and the fans are spinning, also it's a good quality EVGA psu. That said, I hadn't thought about the CPU, since it's a core2quad(yes I know old, but it's a budget pc) that would be relatively cheap to replace. I'll try reseating the RAM and see if I get any post beeps (It does have a motherboard speaker). I'll get back to you when I've tried all that, Thanks!

Okay I reseated both sticks of RAM and when I left the second one out it booted. Tried reseating the second one and booting again but it wouldn't post. So it was the second stick of RAM. Thank you for your help!
