computer not posting

my parents old computer started playing up and overheating and i eventually found out that it was due to the CPU. After i found out which CPU socket the mobo was (lga 775) i bought a
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 from ebay hoping it would fix the problem and everything would work fine. I installed the new CPU today and the CPU fan starts spinning but there is no display on my monitor. No beeps occurred either .

motherboard: Intel desktop board D945GTP
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500

Is this CPU compatible with that motherboard???

The Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 isn't on that list, so no, it isn't supported. 🙁
