Computer not recognizing there is a CD or DVD in drive.

Replaced my hard drive and reloaded Windows 10 now my computer doesn't recognize that there is a CD or DVD in the drive. When I click on the drive it opens the drive. Computer says drive is working properly and the drivers are up to date. Tried an external DVD drive with same result.

Are you sure the disk itself is not damaged? Try a different disk, or try the same disk on a different computer.

Clicking on the drive should not open the drive. Could be faulty. $20.00 US
