So today i bought the parts i needed for a gaming pc that i built today. When i installed everything i couldnt find a psu connector that connects the psu to the outlet. So i found a random connector from a fax machine that is broken and i plugged it into my psu and the outlet. When i turned on my computer i hear my fans running but theres nothing on my screen... What do i do?

Um what?, your running your computer via fax machine?. Hmm i guess i can overclock my refrigerator afterall. Sir please provide a little more info. we need more detail. make sure monitor cables are plugged in, make sure Ram is seated properly and snugg and tight. no loose cables

I'm talking about how my PSU didnt came with a cord where you attach it onto the PSU on one end then on the other end you attach it to a outlet that is on a wall or something. Right now my moniter cables are plugged into my computer. When i turn on my computer my moniter is just blank...

Obviously, the old fax cord worked. After all, the fans spin. Let me guess. Antec Earthwatts, right?

Need system specs.

First, check this to see if you overlooked something simple:

Second, work systematically through our standard checklist and troubleshooting thread:

I mean work through, not just read over it. We spent a lot of time on this. It should find most of the problems.

If that doesn't help, I have some more advanced ideas.
