Hi there, I was installing a case fan onto my computer, I think I heard a spark kind of sound, however I'm not 100% sure. My computer will turn on, with all my fans running fine, however none of my peripherals are working when plugged in. This includes my monitors / mouse / keybord etc. These peripherals are working fine when used on my laptop, however not on my desktop.

Could anyone advise what has happened, or can advise what steps I need to take to remedy this, and if so, do I need to buy new parts?

(Sorry I'm not too good with computers)

Cheers.

Yes, the PSU was plugged in and turned on.

System Specs:

AMD Phenom x4 955 BE Processor
Asus M4A87TD Mobo
8GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 460
1TB HDD
64GB SSD

My computer was running fine before all this. :O

First, a verbal "spanking".
Never (infinity), work inside of a computer while it is plugged into a power source.
Now that I covered that, try resetting your CMOS clock since that'll be the fastest, cheapest "fix", if it works.
If the reset does not work, are you getting any POST beeps from the computer?
