Computer randomly freezes completely after playing a game for a while or leaving the game paused for a while

Hello all,

So I built this pc a while back, and I just keep getting this freezing thing randomly. First of all the specs:

- ASUS Crosshair formula Z motherboard with updated UEFI and everything.
- AMD FX9590 8-core unclocked in a closed watercooling loop from NZXT (25C Idle, 40C load).
- Corshair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR3 RAM modules (2400Mhz) underclocked at 1333 Mhz by default, put in the second and fourth slot as Motherboard Manual suggested.
- 2x AMD R9 390 8GB DDR5 in crossfire setup, both overclocked just a little with GPUTweak at 1070 Mhz, 6020 Mhz Memoryclock, and +10% Power output.
- NZXT Hale v90 1000watts PSU (not even a month old, should be solid).

Let me know if you need more info.

So the problem is:
Whenever I play a 3D game, everything runs fine, good and smooth FPS, some games need some optimizations and stuff for the crossfire setup (been new to that game since a month ago, so I might not know exactly what I am doing :D) and it all just works fine. However, sometimes it just randomly freezes, and I don't know why. I had this happening on fallout 4 after playing for an hour or so (Temps were under or at 70C) while I paused the game and went for a bathroom break or when I was just walking around. It also happened on other games, however lately I just didn't have problems with it.

But whenever I play let's say, Terraria (2D sidescrolling sandbox game), I can play for hours and hours without a single freeze. The PC also never freezes outside a game, for let's say general internet usage and running programs like Photoshop and that sort of stuff.

Every freeze just eventually leaves me with the only option to manually rebooting the computer with the reset button.

So what might it be?

P.S Offtopic stuff here: Fallout 4 perk chart is flickering crazy and I am very annoyed with it. I already did the flickering compass fix by copying the old driver files into the fallout 4 folder and I messed with the tesselation stuff in the Crimson driver so the trees and bushes wouldn't flicker anymore as well. But this perk chart flickering... I have no clue (The icon animations are flickering)

Anyways, thank you for your time reading and have a good day! I appreciate any help and replies.

EDIT: When the PC freezes during a game the motherboard gives a Qcode 40. Do has to do with the sleep time or something (30 and 40 code) I have no idea really, but should I disable fastboot? And if I overclock my CPU to the slightest, the pc freezes randomly with the same code.

Too bad no one could give me his opinion about this.

I have gone to Intel's side for my new CPU (for which I need a new Mobo, new RAM... and ofcourse a crazy fast M2 SSD chip)

Im done with this unstable FX9590 crap.
