[SOLVED] computer randomly freezes for a couple of seconds

hi yall i have an alienware aurora r6 with a i7-7700k and a gtx 1080 8 gb. when surfing the web, rarely when I'm in fullscreen does it happen, but my computer will freeze for 2-3 seconds and the fans will spin slightly louder for those seconds then it goes away and everything continues on for another couple hours for another short freeze to happen.

Go to search bar, type in eventviewer.exe, hit enter, click on windows logs, click on system logs.
Look at the recent red X errors and bring the information back here so we can try to pinpoint the problem.

Yep. Something is smashing your CPU, probably. Goto TaskManger and see what progs are high CPU usage (you did't say what version Windows you're using).
I don't want to scare you, but run a Virus scan.

Update all drivers too-can't hurt.
