I recently bought a Ryzen 3 1300X CPU, an MSI B350M Gaming Pro motherboard and 8GB of RAM. When I booted the PC up, it worked fine for an hour or so, then it just froze with a buzzing noise. Second time I booted it up, the same thing happened. Now, it sometimes freezes and buzzes or restarts without any warning or a restarting screen whenever I play games or watch videos. I cleaned the RAM sockets, changed the RAM places, cleared CMOS and reseated the CPU and the graphics card.
Please help 🙁

Well, I live in a pretty small town, there are no computer shops around. Also, my PSU worked perfectly with my old build. But the 8-pin power connector for my CPU is being supplied with two 4-pin power connectors, because my PSU doesn't have an 8-pin, if that helps. If you're sure that it's the power supply, I might order one from Amazon. Which one do you recommend that's cheap?

If you like your computer shut it down and unplug it before you burn it up.

In the US?

Budget?

Not in the US, I'm in Belgium. My budget is around 50 euros, 75 at most.

They are garbage.

Well, can you suggest some cheaper ones?

The Seasonic I posted was the cheapest one I can recommend.

Cheap and quality don't go together, cheap normally means issues or waiting around for a house fire to happen.

Alright, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it out and reply when I try it.

While I was looking at the specifications of the Seasonic, I realized that is was 7 years old. Do you know any newer models by chance?

New models of GOOD PSU's cost much more.

The Seasonic I recommended will be fine for your system, I ran the Modular vers (M12II) for over 7 years 24/7/365 with ZERO issues.

It's a very solid stable PSU.

That said raise your budget and I can give you a list.

Alright then, if you could show me your list of PSUs, I could adjust my budget.

Alright, thank you for the list. I'll get one of those and come back with the results.

I found an old PSU while I was cleaning, I gave it a shot and put it in my system. The same thing was happening. Maybe it's not the PSU after all :/

What was that old PSU? It may not have been used due to it being faulty in the first place. Never skimp on a power supply unless you like to see money burn.
