Computer randomly shutting down when playing games?

My gaming PC occasionally shuts down when I am playing games.

My specs are:
GPU: GTX 980
CPU: i7 4790k
RAM: 16GB DDR4
PSU: Corsair CX750 Watt

Any ideas why this is happening?

Video card issues, power supply issues, heat issues, maybe drivers or other software issues although a full shutdown is often a hardware issue.

You can start testing out known good parts one at a time either in your system or try your parts in another system, I'd start with the video card and then the power supply. CX is a so-so model of power supply, especially to run a GTX 980.
