firstly let me apologize in advance for knowing aboslutely nothing about computers! i have a sapphire amd radeon hd 7790 gpu on a asus m4a79xtd evo mb. when i go in to my device manager it says a have a radeon hd 7700, not a 7790, why is this?
I have the 7750 and when I go under there it lists it as a 7700. It lists the cards as a 77xx series graphics card and does not include the two other numbers that specify cards vs series. So in reality device manager only needs to know you have a 7700 series gpu, it doesnt care if its 7750 or a 7790 or a 7770. So its working fine.
