I have been getting BSOD's since the day I got my pc which was around 6 months ago and I have tried many options and yet still the BSOD's still occur. And im am starting to think that my MOBO's pci Express slot is faulty. Bsods randomly occur while gaming even when idle or watching videos. Im stumped please help me out here.

On Sat 11/04/2015 13:02:46 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\041115-18954-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x4B18CC)
Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFFA800868E038, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem problem. This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

34 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 10 are included in this report. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor ID: 0

MOBO: Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
GPU: R9 290 4GB AMD
CPU: FX-8350 BLACK VISHERA, 8 Core
RAM: 8GB RAM CRUCIAL DDR3
PSU: CORSAIR CX-600W 80+ BRONZE
HDD: 1TB SeaGate Barracuda Sata 6gb/s 64mb cache

CPU TEMP: IDLE 20 degrees Celsius, Stress test 100% load 11 mins 62 degrees celsius
GPU TEMP: IDLE 50 degrees celsius, Stress test 13 mins 70 degrees Celsius

the bugcheck 0x124 with parameter 1 =0 means the CPU called the bugcheck or
in this case something directly connected to the CPU called the bugcheck.
(northgate chip)

It should not be a driver problem (with the exception of overclocking drivers)

for this problem I look at a memory dump and check the system up time, the bios version and clock rates.
if the system uptime is less than 10 seconds, most likely the CPU voltage dropped low and reset the CPU and the power supply did not prevent the reboot.

if the system uptime is longer, say 15 mins I look for heat related problems. In this case look at the northbridge to see if the memory is running at the wrong voltage or too high a clock rate and the chip is overheating.
maybe check the heatsink or put a fan to see if cooling prevents the bugcheck.

Some times i dont bsod for a whole week sometimes i bsod 2-5 times in one day so it is totally random

remove the amd drivers and see what happens,i had the r9 280x and got so many random crashes, now i have the 970 and it's running fine.

did you try using it without the r9 290,using the mobo only?

I have not tried it, i will try it, Will i be able to play games ? Or will i have to wait a few weeks to see if the problem still goes on ?

be sure to boot into BIOS and reset to defaults after making a hardware change. This will force the BIOS to reassign interrupts and DMA channels and rebuild the database it sends to windows. Otherwise windows will be constrained by the old database even though the hardware has been removed.

you said it also happens when you watch YouTube vd,i would watch lots of videos to speed things up,and no,playing games will be put on hold for now.

Also what do what johnbl said,if you don't how to do that, just remove the mobo battry/cmos,realy easy,it will rest all the setting. make sure it turend off,and the power cable is removed.

I have tried a cmos reset already and even installed a windows 7 again ! 🙁

I bought a ready made pc from the uk and the shipping it self cost to get it here i will need to pay 200 again because they dont ship to my country so i payed extra to get it to my country, So idk if its better to refund the pc and get another one, idk what i should do..

I really do appreciate the help :)

geforce 970 available power
75 watts from the PCI/e slot
75 watts from the first 6 pin connector
75 watts from the second 6 pin connector

145 watts for GPU by the vendor, with a minimum power supply of 500 watts

------------------

r9 290
75 watts from PCI/e slot
75 watts from 6 pin connector
150 watts from 8 pin connector

vendor recommends 650 watts power supply.

any overclocking will increase the required power, any failure to provide proper 8 pin or 6 pin power will cause the PCI/e bus to have problems and can make the voltage to the CPU fail.

you also have a very power hungry CPU
200 watts under load, 350 watts if overclocked and under load.

So could it be the psu then ? Because i only have 600 watts :/ , I dont do any overclocking

it could be power related, I have seen people isolate prower problems to a bad power connector where either the 6 pin or 8 pin connector was plugged in but actually not providing any power. Generally, they don't figure it out and just replace the power supply rather than test the power connector for a bad connection or pushed out connector.

main point is the nvidia card will run with much lower power than the AMD card.

And how exactlly do i test this ?
