This is a new build I put together a couple weeks ago. I don't think I had any issues in the first few days but lately at least once or twice a day I find the computer at the BIOS screen and it won't read the Windows boot drive or the other hard drive I have installed. Restarting won't do anything but if I flip the switch on the PSU and turn it back on it boots like normal.
I've updated the BIOS, Chipset drivers, motherboard drivers, and used DDU to uninstall GPU drivers and reinstalled them fresh. I've run the Windows memory check with no errors and Samsung Magician found no issues with the hard drive when running tests there. Windows updates are up to date.
Specs:
Windows 11
CPU: Ryzen 9900x
GPU: Radeon 6800
Motherboard: MSI x870 Tomahawk
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30
Boot drive: Samsung 990 Pro
Storage drive: Seagate EXOS x18 18GB - empty at the moment
PSU: Corsair RMx Shift RM750x
Any ideas on what to try next? I don't feel like it's a connection issue with the M.2 drive because wouldn't it not be able to read it after the hard reboot sometimes if it were? Turning the PSU off and on again has fixed it each time. If someone thinks it might work though, I'll try it.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. It's frustrating to have issues with a new build. Funnily enough it hasn't crashed on me when I've been doing anything. It just sneakily reboots if I'm sleeping or not paying attention.
Thanks!
