Hello,
I'm facing a problem with my PC for last couple of days. It is restarting without any error or anything. It started when I was playing NFSMW 2012. But now it is happening almost all the time. I was watching a movie it restarted, I was surfing it restarted. I really have no idea what happened. It was working fine.

Here is the configuration:
CPU: i7 4790K
MOBO: Gigabyte z97-md3h
GPU: MSI GTX 960 2G
HDD: WD 1TB
SSD: Kingston 120GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 8GB
PSU: Corsair 650 watt
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
Cabinet: Corsair 400r
OS: Windows 8.1

And for the records the idle temperature of the CPU is 32-37 degree celsius max and on load(playing games or rendering) 52-58 degrees.

If anyone could help me that would be wonderful.

Thankyou

Could be a couple things but without any error codes, and seemingly random crashes under load and not under load... it sounds like a power supply or motherboard issue. I would start by replacing the power supply first to see if it continues. If it still happens you can return the power supply.

Hello... APPs Calls can cause them... and OS Calls can cause them... and hardware can cause them... We need to fix/look at them in that order first.

1) Do you have any RED or Yellow marks in your Control panel-Device manager?
2) kernel 41 errors mean the OS was not properly shut down... either by You OR the hardware.

Here is the Windows event debug screen.

You NEED to be logged on as administrator to the OS...

let's see what the OS is reporting as the error... Right click computer-manage-System Tools-Event Viewer-Windows Logs-System.... Click on the "RED" errors, for more information, General/Details... and files/drivers/Apps, comments/suggestions/information associated with them B )

Expanding Window panes and Posting screen images from here will help me, help you faster... But copy and posting text will work too B )

I tried what you said but it's not showing any RED or YELLOW marks. I followed the instructions and everything was normal. No notifications or errors.

P.S. I mistakenly chose your answer as a solution but it is actually not. This is a bit awkward as I have to put this thing in this manner. Sorry about that, I know you are trying to help.

Hello.. Yes. Exactly.

I did one small tweak though. I unplugged the HDMI cable from the graphics card and plugged it in the motherboard's HDMI port and tried to run a game. It ran(with an awful FPS of course), I completed a race and until now it didn't restarted. BTW it did rebooted once in between my replies. So should I consider that there is a problem with my GPU?

Thanks

The GPU shouldn't cause a blink reboot. Usually you would get an error report or BSOD error or even a memory address error if the fault was with the GPU. The GPU could however stress the PSU in a way that your onboard graphics will not, exposing a failure in the power supply/power delivery. There are a number of reasons a PSU would intterupt or reboot your system and many are intentional safety mechanisms, by design, to preserve your downstream components.

Well the GPU is still there on the MOBO.. I just took the HDMI cable out from the GPU and put it back in the MOBO's HDMI port.. the GPU is still in there.. I need to check the power connection though..

Thanks

Hello.. so what would you suggest?? to test the machine with another PSU.. and see if the issue is still there..

Thanks

ok.. but that will take some time.. because it's not easy to get an extra PSU for testing.. I need to inform the company and they will then send someone to inspect.. that might eat some time.. anyway thanks for your suggestion I'll keep you guys posted..

P.S. any other suggestions are welcomed too..
