Hello everyone,
I have been having this issue for a while and I cannot solve this issue which has been quite frustrating. When I play league of legends, my computer restarts randomly. The RBG stays on and it just restarts. Usually if it happens during one session, it doesn`t happen again. It also happens when I watch netflix sometimes but rarely happens when I am watching videos on other platforms such as Youtube. When i have a lot of tabs opened up and multitasking, it crashes sometimes as well. It happens the most consistently when I play league but there are times where it wont happen for a few sessions and once it occurs, it will start to happen more consistently.
Other weird thing that happens is when i shut town my computer, the RGB on the fans stay on. Only the fans and not for other parts of the system. I need to turn off my PSU completely and after about 5 seconds the RGB turns off. I have ryzen 5 5600g with aorus b550m pro-p with 16gbs of ram. I want to install a gpu now that prices are acceptable but without figuring out what the issue is I can`t. I also am not commited to just completely rebuilding everything since I do not game too much. I have tested RAM, CPU, and APU, but it only crashed one time during Heaven benchmark.
What I have tried so far:
- took it to a shop (where they tried reformatting windows and also factory resetting)
- called in someone to check it out where they said they think its PSU issue, so i replaced PSU to a high 750W Gold
-BIOs update
-updated drivers
Here is a summary of my efforts with chat gpt.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELPPPP!!!!

Summary of Issues and Troubleshooting
Primary Issues
- Random System Shutdowns:
- Occur especially under load (e.g., gaming, Netflix, League of Legends, Heaven benchmark).
- System sometimes appears on but with no display, requiring manual PSU shutdown.
- Event ID 41 in Event Viewer (kernel power failure).
- Screen tearing, freezing, and buzzing sounds before crashes.
- RGB Issues:
- Motherboard RGB does not sync or respond to color adjustments.
- Fans’ RGB stays on after the system shuts down and only turns off when the PSU is manually powered off.
Troubleshooting Steps Performed
Power Supply (PSU)
- Action: Replaced the PSU.
- Result: Did not resolve the random shutdowns.
Memory (RAM)
- Action: Ran MemTest86; no errors found.
- Result: RAM is unlikely the cause.
CPU and GPU
- Action:
- Ran Cinebench (CPU stress test) successfully without crashes.
- Ran Heaven benchmark (GPU stress test), which triggered shutdowns.
- Result: GPU or GPU-related power delivery may be the issue.
RGB and Power Settings
- Observed RGB issues(unsynced RGB, fan RGB staying on after shutdown):
- Motherboard's RGB does not sync properly.
- RGB Fusion software seems unreliable.
- RGB fans remain on after the PC shuts down unless the PSU is switched off.
- Result: Indicates possible power management or motherboard hardware issues.
Stress Testing
- GPU: Fails during stress tests (e.g., Heaven benchmark), pointing to GPU or power delivery issues.
- CPU: Stable under Cinebench, suggesting no direct CPU problems.
- Result: Shutdowns correlate with GPU-heavy workloads.
