Few days ago my computer started to run very slow. E.g. Opening a program, even it takes time for the start menu to open from when I click on it if it allowed me. It takes few minutes to respond or even 10 to 15 minutes sometimes

Tried updating windows 7. Reformatted computer 2 weeks ago.
Tried searching this forum or google no results.

No

Yes my antivirus is up to date

Firefoxe is using my largest amount of memory around 600,000 to 720,000K
closed it no difference

i did this as well, i have a program running called "jmb36x" have no idea what it is

jmb36x is a jmicron RAID controller .
According to google
you could try killing the process in task manager and see what happens , but dont stop it starting till you try that

720K is MASSIVE for firefox , unless you have 30 - 40 tabs open it shouldnt be anywhere near that high .
I'd uninstall firefox and reinstall a fresh download

no i only have 5 to 6 tabs opened at most. ok i am going to backup bookmarks and uninstall it then download a new version and install it.
