Computer runs for 15-30 seconds then starts up and has no display

Yet again my pc has another issue 😀. So before I got to where I am now I was just updating some drivers and listening to music then out of no where my pc freezes and repeats the last sound that was going through my headset forcing me to do a hard shut down but then after to my surprise when I tried to turn it back on I have no display and after trying a few things such as: moving ram to different slots, removing the gpu and putting it back in or trying a different HDMI cord nothing has worked if anyone can help please assist me.
CPU: intel 4690k(I'm pretty sure)
GPU:Msi geforce 970
MOBO: Msi Z97S SLI Krait edition
PSU:Evga B2 850W
RAM: Patriot Viper 8gb(4x2)

This may mean that you have a defective motherboard on your hands, possible static discharge. In this case, I'd RMA the motherboard, or try to keep troubleshooting. I'm going to be around for a while, so I'll be here to walk you through everything, need be, take your time and report back with results when you have them

Static discharge seems unlikely if the case wasn't open at the time although I can't really think of anything else. What drivers were you updating?

@JOSHBLY @Lan2u I'm not sure it was through the msi live update so probably for motherboard and cpu and if either of them are defective that sucks because they are both relatively new 🙁

Do you know if you were flashing your bios? cause that is the only thing I can think of which would of caused this

@Lan2u there might have been an update for it but I'm not sure I just clicked total installer then switched over to my music then that's how I'm here
