Computer Screen Goes into messed up colored lines while playing games?

My pc screen will just go into messed up lines while playing games, and all i can do to fix it is restart my pc. I dont know why it does this but i always play videos on my pc while gaming via windows media player. Could this have to do with it?

Sounds like the video card is dying. Try the monitor on a different PC and see if it works.
