Computer shows only 1 thread and 1 core for 6 core cpu. AMD FX6300

Task manager, msconfig, and cpu-z show that my cpu has only 1 core enabled. I do not get it and there is no option for me to enable other core in the bios. I do not know what to do.

I have an Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard. No I have not updated the bios since when I tried to, it said catastrophic failure in a tab but my computer worked just fine

that BIOS requires 1401 version or higher to support that CPU. have you tried updating it from the ezlkash function in the BIOS screen?

Im a noob when it comes to bios. It says version 2101

well it should in theory work.
On page 2-13 of the English user manual, it has a function described as Active CPU cores- make sure that function is set to AUTO and not MANUAL.

Lol. I just watched a video and I unchecked the number of processors in the msconfig and now it shows 6 cores and 6 threads in task manager and cpuz. Thank you for the help.
