I have been having this issue lately, where my computer shuts off randomly.
I went to the store, purchased compressed air, opened my system up, and cleaned it out. I reseated everything, being very careful, now I'm having issues, instead of it shutting off, it's getting stuck on 'startup repair'.

So, it will go to startup repair, go through the screen, startup repair lingers continuously, does nothing to fix the issue.

If I start windows regularly there is a holdup on the 'starting windows' logo.

I am so stuck here, can I get some help?

CPU is an AMD-FX8350
GPU is a Radeon 79xx, couple years old
Mobo is a gigabyte am3+ board, can't remember specifically, I could check if needed.

Can anyone help me out, please?

Solution
Try using your windows dvd to do a repair, boot up with the disc, when you the screen asking to install, click on the repair option on the bottom left. This will open up recovery console and click on "start up repair" and just let it do its thing.
