Computer shuts down during Windows 7 install...

Hello,
During the initial install of W7 the computer shuts down during the "start for first time" or something like that. It is installed on a new blank hard drive on a computer that is working OK with XP and the W7 advisor said no problems. FYI I can install Vista just fine so i tried to upgrade from working Vista - same problem durring the first use screen.

I am trying to custom install W7 32 bit and this is a new hard drive that I have since formatted - wiped - and re formatted and partitioned. I have installe Vista on one partition - no problem at all.

It won't work until Vista has the latest service pack.

It did have all updates when I tried it. But it won't install as a cusom install either - which is what I prefer.
