My computer has been shutting down on games like skyrim, just cause 2 Amnesia and portal 2, But it can run Dayz standalone, Arma 2 OA, CSS and any source game.
I know its not an overheating issue because I launch the game just I after boot up my computer.
My last computer (which was a windows xp) could run all of these game with the same graphics card.

Please, I could really use some help

Thermal conditions are not generally associated with just being on for an extended period of time. They almost always occur when the CPU is opperating at a level that produces heat which the heatsink cannot handle.
This can occur after a long time of playing at high CPU levels or even a short time at high CPU levels.

What may be occuring could be a thermal condition with your CPU/Heatsink - either the process by which you installed them or the quality/capacity of your heatsink.

You may also want to look at your PSU. If you are pulling more power than the PSU can provide - it may be the cause of your shutdown.

I am fairly certain that your graphics card is not causing the issue - if it functioned well in another build.

Please respond with your Power supply details - name, rating, age(approx). Also let us know if you have a stock Heatsink or aftermarket (and brand.)

Also - take some time and blow out any dust you may have accumulated.
I hope this sounds reasonable.

If your computer works without playing a game, but shuts down when you start a game, it most likely will be not enough wattage by the PSU. And it very well can be a overheating issue if the CPU Heatsink is not properly attached or not enough thermal paste applied. My computer just yesterday had the heatsink come unlatched and it shut down due to overheating not even running anything. But as avarice said, if your GPU worked in your previous build, it is unlikely that it is the problem in this build. But we need to know the supported wattage, age, brand, and proper functionality of your PSU.
