Hi, I've had my PC for almost a year now and randomly it shuts down for no reason. In the past this randomly happened, but went away and it has been 4 weeks since it went away. Now, recently it has been working fine for the past 3-4 days and now it started again today.

Do you think it might be a PSU problem? Because I think it is.

Once it turns off the power button doesn't work and it only works if I unplug the PSU cable and turn the PSU switch off then plug it back in and turn the PSU switch back on.

Tell me your suggestions on why it is happening and what is causing it.

Thank you!

That does sound like a classic PSU problem. PSU testers are relatively inexpensive and may tell you for sure what you're looking at. Honestly I would most likely just travel to my local computer shop, talk myself into an upgraded power supply, install it, and see if the problem continues. If it does not, your original PSU was the problem. If it does continue my next move would be to change out the motherboard. You didn't describe getting any blue screen errors which more or less rules out other components to start with.

Hope that helps!
