Computer shuts off after 1 second.

When I shut off my computer It would continue to run after the screens had powered down and I could still open the disc drive, thinking this was a problem I dismantled my computer and put it back together. Now when I press the power button it lights up, then it shut off after a second. I'm sure both problems are related in some way. P.S I have already followed the steps on this website. All wires are connected correctly and I have tested it with just 1 ram stick.

So, that takes the PSU out of the problem list. It's gotta be the motherboard. Did you seat the CPU right?

Update: New Motherboard arrived today, when I put it into the computer, it wont turn on at all. No lights, fans not spinning, nothing. I have no clue whats wrong lol. It turned on properly once after a while of messing with it, I assumed it was fixed so I shut it off and finished building, its hasnt worked since then.

It must be the PSU.
