computer shuts off

This is a desktop problem not a laptop but when i turn on my air purifier my desktop shuts off and turns on even if its not on the same outlet i don't know why it does this my laptop runs fine. After i turn off the purifier it works again. What is going on?

Your a browning out the room (too many amps drawn from purifier), outlets are on the same circuit. Laptop has a battery thus working properly.
