Computer speakers making a weird noise.

My computer speakers are making a weird noise. so i unplugged it from the computer but it still makes the sound and if i move the subwoofer closer to the router it goes higher but! if i put my hand or something on the right side of the subwoofer like against it the noise pretty much stops instantly. I decided to move my setup and i kept my subwoofer in the same spot. but than this started to happen.

cell phones and wifi can be picked up from audio speakers that are not sheilded. try moving the wifi away from the pc.

I thought this too. but when it was on the cubby hole of my desk with my router right on the other side it had no issues. That's why I am at a loss right now.

If you have a lot of excess audio cable then coil it up to reduce EMI.

Is your sub passive or active (if it has a power cable it is active)?

Yeah it has a power cord. and about 5 wires for the speakers. 1 left 1 back left 1 right etc etc What do you mean by coil it up?

Take the excess cable and coil it iin a circle just like you do with a cable when you put it away when not using it.

I've done that and it seems only 1speaker is doing it now. it's the one that sits ontop of my monitor. any ideas? i coiled it
