You need to provide a little more information about your system.
Suspending a system requires a careful cooperation between hardware, firmware, and software.
You should provide your operating system, it's version, the motherboard model, the cpu model, and check that motherboard ("chipset") drivers are installed and updated to the best version available.
Also is good practice to state whether or not you are using a legacy BIOS or UEFI, and if UEFI, whether you are booting in native EFI mode, or using a compatibility support module.
