I have searched endlessly and cannot find a solution for my problem. This is my office PC. I turn on my PC and everything starts up for exactly 15 seconds and shuts off and reboots again...over and over. Nothing ever comes up on the screen. The screen stays black. Everything was working fine but I changed my CPU from a Pentium G3900 to a i5-7600 and added an aftermarket CPU fan along with new 600W PSU. Now I am stuck in this boot loop. Here are the steps I took so far:
Specs: Gigabyte ga-b250m-ds3h, i5-7600, id cooling se-214-xt cpu fan, kingston hyperx fury 2x4gb ddr4-2400, samsung 850 EVO 250 gb SSD, thermaltake smart 600w PSU.
Just a reminder everything stayed the same but the PSU, CPU and fan cooler.
1. Made sure everything was plugged in correctly. This is my third PC build.
2. Made sure my CPU was installed correctly and there was no thermal anywhere on it.
3. Made sure CPU fan was installed correctly (It powers on)
4. Cleared CMOS by both taking out battery and touching pos/neg terminals along with the CMOS reset jumper per the manual.
5. Unplugged everything not necessary to start such as USB mouse etc
6. According to PCPartPicker estimated wattage is only 180W so I do not see the need for new PSU with more wattage.
7. Confirmed my Motherboard can handle the new CPU via Gigabyte's website.
8. Unplugged everything and started from scratch just to confirm everything was screwed in and tightened along with plugged in correctly.
I am at a hault and was hoping it is something goofy I am overlooking like a dummy. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
