Computer Turns Off After Graphics Card Install

About a week ago, I installed a new graphics card (geforce gtx 1060). It worked fine until yesterday, but now it has started to shutdown randomly. It does not blue screen or show any errors just completely shuts down.
When I checked in the BIOS the voltages seemed to be where they were supposed to. There haven't been problems with overheating in the past, and it will sometimes shut down when it has only been running very briefly which is why I wouldn't think it is a problem with temperature.

What tests should I do to find and fix the problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

CPU - FX 8350
Mobo - Asus M5A99FX
PSU - NZXT HALE82 V2 550W

I recently put my old graphics card back in but it shut down again after about ten minutes.

have you tried stress testing? puts the system under full load, if it turns off after some minutes, it will be mostly because a small or failing PSU

I haven't tried stress testing yet, as it will sometimes turn off while it is still at an idle after it has only been running for a few minutes. I'll try stress testing if I can though.
