Computer turns off randomly but mostly occurs playing games.

My computer randomly turns off but mostly/always occurs playing games. My CPU temps are 36-38c idle. And another weird thing is that my PSU is making some weird grinding noise. I also checked out all my RAM help! 🙁

Most likely the PSU either is defective or it isn't powerful enough. It's difficult to provide a better answer without detais about your system.

I have the same issue and just ordered a corsair hx1050 gold rated psu and will check........Same problem would instant turn off while loading/playing a game and makes this weird noises like screeching. PSU is cx750m bronze and has more then enough power just think its failing or was defective.

A CX isn't bad, but it also isn't a top quality PSU. If you know a 750W PSU is more than enough, why get the hx1050? Did you determine the noise was from the PSU?

Got the new psu and so far so good with no instant shut off's but it's only been one day and will check through out the week then month and report back. I still get those noises in some games and i guess its coil whine from gpu but usually play iRacing and don't have any noises when playing that game.

Yes 750w is good enough even for sli gtx780ti but the hx1050w just gives that much more headroom. Considering maybe overclocking for some games like project car's not to mention that it's a very good quality gold rated psu and got it for a good price!
