So, I was playing games today, and I decided to shut the computer down as I left my home. After I came home, I tried to turn it on, but I only got a black screen + the keyboard and mouse were not working. They were also not lighting with their green and red colors.

It's gotta be the motherboard. If you already tried with a different PSU and RAM, checked voltages, and it still fails to POST, there's no other way. If it was the processor, it would beep a warning.

Send that motherboard to the manufacturer.
Happened to me after i killed the power to my room room next doors outlet was smoking... it interupted something in the power supply changed out the battery on the motherboard (there is a small watch battery on there C2032) easy pop out pop in install. then disconnected and reconnected PSU from mobo worked perfectly. Didn't find the answer anywhere online but figured id pay it forward so people won't continue changing out parts everywhere for $200 plus not sure if this will fix everyones problem but worked for me. Had it happen once before but it was just the keyboard and mouse not working only reason i had half a clue what to do, and i got lucky hopefully this finds the people who can fix it this way before they drop $200 plus on a bunch of new parts.

I had this same exact problem and was tripping out because i JUST bought new mother board and put this basically new PC together only two days ago. Turns out one of the older ram sticks i was using was bad. HUGE thanks to AVengur for saving me a lot of time, money, and pain

all you need is to check all the possible problem them try to fix it then if theirs no one could fix the problem.
try look your CAPACITOR @ MOBO maybe its leak or dmg...capacitor not only physical the problem but on the overuse..

capacitor is also main problem of your threads to your comp.

to fix try replaced same value ,capacity.thats all maybe could help this too.....sorry not so good on english...

This happened to me when I was playing steam today

I have the same exact problem as some of you. My computer was just fine until I downloaded steam. I started getting blue screen of deaths and now its the same problem with the fans working but everything else doesn't. Somebody should definitely look into this Steam correlation.

I had the same exact problem just now. was pulling my hair out trying to trouble shoot every individual part. The last thing i need is to have to replace my mobo. in the end, I turned my pc off and waited 5 minutes and turned it back on with no trouble at all. Also I noticed that my LAN port light was still lighting up, so i knew it couldn't have been a mobo failure. Ive come across many weird bugs and errors that I can't find a reason for and this is one of them. Its best to just unplug your pc, take a break, watch a tv show or something and then turn it back on and see what happens.

open you cpu part of your dektop and there you can see the ram open it and take eraser and rub on the gold coloured part at down replace it now on it will on

BEST OF LUCK

i had the same problem with my computer today, and i tried most of what was recommended here, what actually helped in the end was removing one of the fans i had installed on the side of my computer. After this everything works fine, so if anyone else has this problem, you could give this a try :)
