My computer was working fine until i unplugged it, and moved it to my other house. When i hooked it back up and started it the power button went on, the fans turned on, and there is a solid green light on the motherboard that turned on(not sure if it was always on before). All seemed fine until nothing was displaying on the monitor. The monitor didn't even recognize the computer was plugged into it. I've tried using a different monitor and HDMI cable, also tried to use both HDMI ports (GPU, and motherboard). nothing changed. So i turned off the computer completely, and removed the GPU and RAM sticks except for one, and tried to start up the computer again, and still no change. Then i put everything back in the computer and removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes and put it back in and turned it on, and nothing changed.

Any advice would be great!

Oh I think I mentioned it could have been plugged into the wrong port. Glad you were able to find the solution.
Its possible either the monitor was damaged during the move or if your computer has on board graphics, you may be plugging it into the wrong port. Should also make sure all the power cables are connected properly. Try connecting the monitor to a different PC to rule out bad monitor or monitors.

Did you move the PC yourself or hire movers?

Thanks Dickey005, I've since solved the problem - I didn't realise that I had two VGA ports on my pc and when I unpacked and reconnected everything, I connected the cable to the wrong port. Oops! Swapped it to the other port and it worked again :)
