Computer turns on but won't display.

I'm asking for a friend, because I don't know how to help him with this problem. I have had the same problem, but he insists his gpu isn't dead. He told me that the the monitor shut off and then he turned his pc off, and after that happened he turned it back on and then it was working normally. Then He told me that he turned his pc off again and opened the pc up to see what caused it and now it won't display at all but the computer still turns on it just doesn't display at all. He also told me that his memory usage was at 100% so he took out his memory and put back in and it still won't turn on.

What did he break when he opened up the machine? Be honest now. Pictures of the inside of his case would help figure out what he broke.

Nah nothing broke. the gpu literally just needed to be reseated and it has worked fine since.

Lucky that was not permanent damage just knocked the GPU lose. Good to see he was able fix the machine he broke.
