Hello,

Specs:
intel i5-2320
MSIzh77a-g43 motherboard
8 gigs of DDR3 RAM
500gb 7200rpm hard drive
EVGA 750w bronze b2 power supply
gtx 760 video card

When I boot the computer, it takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes to boot into windows, it does this with no output to the monitor, and skips displaying the bios screen or splash screen. Sometimes however it will never boot. It will just sit on a black screen forever, other times it will go into a boot loop. All of the components are in working order, I had them all checked at a computer shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated, if anymore information is needed, please let me know.

What happens if you take out the graphics card and plug the monitor into the motherboard?

I notices similar results with and without the video card.

I have made a new observation though. In the bios it says I have 4 gigs of ram. When I go to the computer-properties. It also says I have 4 gigs of ram. When I use another software such as CPUID it says I have 8. Physically there are 8 gigs of ram in the pc.

UPDATE: I said CPUID, I meant CPU-Z

I tried this, It works with 2 of the 4 ram sticks. But When I try them together it wont work.

Well you have some bad memory then.

Need to get some new ram.

Match the good ones.

I got 2 ram sticks to work individually

NOW.

Take those and switch slots checking to see if they work, try all 4 slots.

All 4 slots work. But when I try the 2 ram sticks that work, together. It wont boot

Reset the bios to defaults and try them again.

If that doesn't work run memory test on each stick, one likely has an issue.

Ok, will do, thank you for all of your help

I would think buying new DDR3 1600 would be good, a 2x4GB kit or 2x 8GB kit depending on how much ram you want.

I did all that, put all the ram back in, and it booted recognizing all 8 gigs. I then shut the computer off, and turned it on again and it wont boot. It's too late to keep playing with it tonight, I think the problem gets fixed when I clear the cmos. But what is the permanent fix for this?
