Computer Upgrade Help

I am looking to upgrade my PC in order to play all of the current and future games on ultra 60fps. Games like Far Cry 4, GTA V..ect

This computer was my first build but im still a noob when it comes to upgrading. What do you guys recommend. My budget is around the $500-$700 range.

Upgrade to a GTX 970 and you will be set. The rest of your system is solid.

Sounds good, but what would be the AMD equivalent? or is the GTX 970 the best option here? Would my power supply be able to handle it?

The GTX 970 is the top performing card in it's price range. Below it is the AMD R9 290/290x, the latter isn't worth it because the GTX 970 outperforms it while using less power and costs around the same price ( $330).

The R9 290 is about 25% lower in performance compared to the GTX 970, but also runs at higher temperature and uses more power. It is cheaper however and comes in at $270.

Your PSU would be plenty for either upgrade.

With your budget, you could do SLI GTX 970's and still be good, with that PSU.
