Computer upgrading, need a bit help

I'm planning on upgrading my PC. I'm getting a GigaByte GTX 970 G1, a corsair RM 850 and he is my problematic part. What motherboard the site I'm looking at has a sabertooth mark 2 130€, Hero VII 168€ and a sabertooth mark 1 190€. My upgrading on the PC is all about long term upgrade. Like the 850w PSU for SLI later, but to the point. I know the Hero VII is better and usually more expensive than mark 1 so is that a must. I'm not interested in overcloking or anything else fancy so it it just stupid to get something that high-end

The Sabertooth is actually better equipped for cooling purposes as it has a fan over the FSB / Northbridge. However, that can also result in increased cleaning as that fan will get dusty every 3 months or so.

The Hero VII, on the otherhand, is clearly optimised for gaming. ASUS has tweaked the BIOS to allow for very simple overclocking with preconfigured profiles in place to allow for component overclocking by set percentages. This is convenient if you don't want to take the time to tweak overclocking settings yourself.

The Sabertooth has the other slight advantage over the Hero VII in that it allows slightly more room around the CPU Socket, so you can more conveniently mount a large CPU air cooler. However, with so many closed loop CPU water coolers on the market today (NZXT Kraken X-41 / X-61, Corsair H100i / H110i etc.) this may or may not be an advantage.

The Hero VII allows for much faster RAM to be installed, which can be advantageous at the bleeding edge of gaming. Expect your Graphics Card / CPU to bottleneck well before your RAM speed does, however.

Ultimately, it's your decision.

I would suggest you save the 30 euros as the Hero doesn't offer lots more features compared to the Mark 2. All you get from the hero is the red color, some lights and stuff like gaming LAN. you might also want to get an EVGA PSU as they are one of the best on the market on Earth (not sure about mars or Saturn, though) and some RM pSUs use bad caps and are made by a crap OEM (cough cough Chicony).
Last of all, the 970 G1 isn't woth it and doesn't offer lots of more features compared to my favorite 970, the EVGA 970 ACX 2.0 SC/SSC. the EVGA card is also cheaper. The Gigabyte card only gives you a mediocre clock speed bost.
