I installed a couple of new HDDs this afternoon and when I tried to start the computer back up nothing happened. disconnected everything and tried again, same results. Tests the PSU and everything checks out there. I do have the green LED illuminated on the board, but nothing else seems to work. No indication of power or startup, whatsoever. Any ideas? Did I accidentally ruin the board with static? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That didn't work. Time to replace the motherboard?

My current board is an Asus P8Z68-M Pro LGA 1155 Intel Z68, which I can no longer get my hands on. Z68 boards with the same bells and whistles are pretty expensive now. What would be a good replacement? I am running an intel ci5 2400.

Yes. Everything is in the correct place and secure (no graphics card, using the integral with the processor). The drives are disconnected in order to eliminate other potential problems.
