Hi,

when I turn my PC on there are no lights on at the front and the red CPU LED is on, on the motherboard and I get the message on monitor no display found on HDMI.

The fans and the CPU fan are on and the green writing on the graphics card is lit up green.

So I turn it off at the back with the on/off switch on the PSU about four or five times and everything then boots fine.

Can someone please advise what I am doing wrong.

System Specs are:

Ryzen 2700X,
MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon/AC,
16 gbs of Corsair Vengeance LPX Ram 3000MHZ,
Nvidia GTX 980,
750 Watt Power Supply Power Station, (I think this maybe problem but not sure)
120gb SSD,
2TB Western Digital HDD
and Windows 10.

I have tried resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery but its still the same afterwards. Once the computer boots and I turn it off and back on again it boots fine.

But if I leave it for a bit then come to turn it back on I have to keep switching it on & off at the back to get it to boot.

Please can someone help and Thank you all.

i have had this issue even tho i had enough watt power to run my system i was finding my self from time to time hitting the button several times to get the pc to boot up right . it was my power supply that was the issue now i have a 750 evga gold rated and have had no issue since . have you tried another PSU ?

There is a feature in the newer versions of Windows called fast startup or hybrid sleep that can sometimes cause this issue. Disabling this feature may solve your problem.

also can you tell me if you have any issue with updates ?

you are most welcome and i hope this solved your issue if it did not then only other thing i can think of is your hard drives are going bad or the ssd is going bad .. You could encounter this error if a hardware failure is causing the platters not to spin fast enough during power up. so check your cables make sure they are working and plugged in correct.. i dont see that being the cause tho cause i would imagine you have your OS on the ssd and not a hard drive but it is possible .
