When I try to turn the computer on, the led light above the power symbol blinks once, and nothing happens. I try to press the power button again, and the light does not blink. If I flick the switch on the power source off then on, it will do the same thing - blink once the first time, but does nothing the times after.

Is this a problem with my power source?

Mushkin ram are typically single channel ram, not dual channel, you may need to just use one stick in each channel.
450 watt PSU would not be my first choice, I'd rather about 620 watt plus.
You don't state the video card, you need one for display output.
