Computer won’t boot

My pc works fine if I don’t have the gpu installed via onboard graphics, but when I plug in my gpu my computer boots with everything working then about 3 seconds later shuts down and reboots without the MB lights on and then there’s no display/no signal from my gpu or onboard graphics. The gpu is brand new. Any suggestions

my guess would be bad graphics card or bad psu.

The psu is brand new and I thought it was a bad gpu as well as it was happening with my other one so I got a brand new one and it’s still happening

Hmmm. The supplemental power cable(s) are attached to the GPU, right?

Yes all power cables are connected

I’ve also reseated it multiple times to ensure it’s connected correctly. I’ve also tried disable the onboard graphics on my device manager as well as in my bios

since you board have 3 pci-e slot did you try the gpu in the others slots to see if you have video and how it is detect in the control panel .

I’ve tried the 16 and the 8 slot. My card won’t fit in the 3rd a lot with everything else plugged in. Won’t boot in either

did you test this gpu in another system to see if is not doa and recheck all connector from psu to it specially if you use a modular one .

I’ve tested in another system and it worked. I just don’t understand why it won’t work in this one

Would backing up all my files then factory resetting do anything

the other system have similar psu and it happens with old gpu then you might have a motherboard issue .
