computer won't boot 1c error code

Hello, recently I got a gtx 1060 a new motherboard and could. I put everything in and it would not boot up. I swapped the gpu problem persists. RAM is also fine. The motherboard I got from a friend who was borrowing it from me, before we took the motherboard out we tested it to see if it worked which it did. I boot it up the error code shows 1C then shuts off and trys to restart. The led indicators on the bottom show mem init with a green light and cpu init with a flashing green light, and the rest are blank. I have an Intel desktop board 01.

All the parts I used worked right before I put the new ones in.

I looked at the code and it went 21, 26 for about 15 seconds then 31 for another 15, then 1C then repeats this after trying to restart.

I tried removing the cmos battery, it didn't work, but how am I suppose to flash the motherboard without being able to see the screen?

Please reseat all power connectors and devices attached to the motherboard, including the memory.

That's a good point. I feel stupid now.

Please reseat all power connectors and devices attached to the motherboard, including the memory.

I reseated everything problem still persists.

Please remove everything from the motherboard except for the CPU, RAM, and power. See if you get a proper boot. You won't have a proper display without a GPU, but at least we'll see if it POSTs.

Based on the online manual, what just happened makes sense. We're getting somewhere!

If you have more than one stick of RAM, try inserting them one at a time. Try each stick in each slot, never having more than one stick installed at a time. If any single stick refuses to boot in all slots, you have a bad stick of memory.

The first ram stick gave code 21 and 3 long beeps

Try your RAM in a different computer that you know works, if you have one.
