MOBO - Asus P5G41T-M LX3
CPU - Intel Pentium E6600
GPU - NVIDIA GT220
Memory DDR 3.

I was trying to replace the ram of this "old" computer. My current memory is a DDR3 2GB ram. I upgraded it to a 4GB ram.

I replaced it with Zeppelin 4GB / 1333 / 5128) memory .Now my computer wont boot. but when I revert it the old memory. Its working. Is the ram the problem ? I tried it to another computer and seems to work fine ?

Any solutions in this? I found some thread also about this with same MOBO , Asus P5G41T-M LX3 replacement / adding of new Memory.

Thank You 😀

My old RAM which is 2GB 1333MHZ seems to working fine, I just want to replace it with the new Zeppelin 4GB / 1333 ram. (Im not trying to put both memory sticks together ) just the new 4GB memory is fine for me. since I'm running a 32 bit OS. just wanted a little upgrade :) I will try it by the way. But the problem is , the computer wont even start , when I inserted the new memory . I cant go to the BIOS section. I tried to put both of my OLD memory and new , it wont start . then I removed the new ones. It start. Any problems with this? The new RAM is faulty ?

Solution
OK your Mboard only supports 1333MHz ram when overclocked, so I suspect this is why the sticks arent working. Firstly make sure you are putting both sticks in the same colour slots.

Now go into your BIOS and advanced settings, then jumperfree configuration, I tihnk RAM settings are in there. First take it off auto and set it to 1067Mhz and see if it boots up. Let me know what happens. If that works then we can look at OCing it up to 1333. If it doesnt work then you will need to try manually setting the CAS latencies, if it possible with that Mboard.

Let me know how you get on.

Hmm you should be able to get to BIOS at least. Have you changed ram before? You need to give it a good firm even push until it clicks into place. If its not seated right then it wont startup. Also make sure the clips are pushed away from the centre before you put the ram in. One more thing I can think of is to try putting it in a different slot. Give the ram slots a good blow as well, could be some crap fallen in there when you changed the stick.

Okay Ill give it a try. Yes , I changed ram before. Hmmm... The computer just start , but it the monitor just like nothing happened.. or No beeping sound from the computer when you start it.(just like it normally do. Thats why I cant reach the bios, I did try to switch the slots. same thing happened.
