Computer won't boot up....

So I am building my friend a pc, and he wanted windows 7, so instead of buying it, I told him I could plug in my old HDD with windows 7 on it, and transfer it, only the computer won't start up. When the computer turns on it brings me to a screen that tells me "Start Windows Recovery (Recommended)" or "Start Windows Normally" When I start windows normally it will bring me to the screen where the differently colors of the windows flag are flying together, but once they get closer, the pc restarts. This kept happening so i decided to leave the PC on PC recovery the whole night, and when I woke up, it said that there problem could not be solved. Is there anyway to fix this? Can I fix or whippet hard drive, except windows?

No it doesn't.

Try setting SATA to IDE (if AHCI). If still no go, then I think that you have to reinstall.
