Hello. I am trying to restore a Macrium Reflect Windows XP image I created in VMWare. I was able to successfully create an image of it, then I deleted the VMWare VM so I can use VirtualBox instead. When I try to restore the image, it says "Unable to match partition - Drive 0, Start Sector 56"

Even when I recreate the VM in VMWare to restore the image on there, I get the same message.

Has anyone ever had this problem before using Macrium Reflect?

VMWare and VirtualBox are different.

This is sort of like trying to recover an Image to a whole different physical system.
The partitions do not match.

There are probably ways to do this, but you'd have needed to start at the VMWare stage.
"ReDeploy to Different hardware" in Macrium.

VMWare and VirtualBox are different.
This is what I get as well when I restore the image on a VMWare VM:

Nevermind I might be saved. I had an OS backup before I deleted the windows XP vm, so I will restore it, and create the backup with another program.
You don't need to do an image/backup of a virtual disk...
You can just add both disks to the same VM and do the clone right from disk to disk.
Virtualbox does support vmware disks.

Or mount the vmware disk to windows and do the image that way. (Right click on image file and select mount)
