Computer Wont Run at Normal Speed!

Hi i have an older AMD 1800+ and i had to get this new cheap motherboard.......pc chips =P and under the advanced chipset features the multiplyer is normally set to 100 with a ratio for the ram at 1:1


So i set the multiplyer to 133 which makes it 1800+ but in most games such as BF2 or UT2004 it will eventually freeze and crash....sometimes restart the comp. When i keep it at the default bios setting 100 it runs at something like 1150 or something very close and im loosin a few 100 mhz which makes a big diffrence in frames!!! I need some outside help on this so please suggest me something..

It sounds like a memory problem.
You may get some joy by increasing the v-dimm to 2.8
Xp mobos are rather fussy about the ram they work with. You may have to replace it with pc-chips approved ram. Try the voltage bump first.

Yeah, it does have 3 diffrent brands of ram in it =P thx for the suggestion though.
