Hey Guys,

I have a fairly old computer (4 years). For the past year or so, whenever I switch off the main switch (after shutting down the computer) or if there is a power outage; the computer wouldn't start. If this happens I have wait for a few hours, remove main PSU cable from the mobo, plug it back in and then the computer would start again.

Day before there was a power outage in my area, and now the computer just wouldn't start. I tried waiting, plugging in the psu cable back, removing the ram, even cleaning the computer with a blower. Nothing seems to work this time. I can see the green led light on on the mother board.

I am not really sure what is the issue here, is it the motherboard or is it the psu? Is there anyway I could turn on the computer now?

I would really appreciate any help here.

Thanks! I couldn't find the graphics card you suggested above on the Indian Website... I don't think it is available in India yet 🙁

give me a few websites that sell graphic cards i will also check http://www.flipkart.com/ but let me look at other websites too to find the best one for the price. and i will find one that you can play games on ulta settings

i am really sorry to say. But india is trying to Rip everyone off with computer hardware.

$230 US Dollar for a Radeon R9 270X in india that cost $130 in US. wow that is really stupid and shows what thief's they are. they are trying to become millionaires by selling computer parts LOL

I searched in how much the shipping will be for the R9 270x to come from US to india. it was $57 so 130+57=$187
in Newegg.UK the same card become to be $157 in dollars and shipping will be around $40-50 so it's not worth doing that.

If i where you i would try to find someone reliable to send money too for them to buy the part and send it to you. it will be worth it. you can even sell it over there for Rs.14,566.00

You are right in India the prices of computer components are very high. I tried switching to India on the newegg site (http://www.newegg.com/global/in/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202050) and the final price with Shipping and Customers & Duties came to around 15000 INR 🙁
