Computer won't start up

This is my first built and I'm pretty sure that I wired everything correctly. When I go to start it up, everything turns on fine, but nothing is showing up on my monitor. I have no idea what's going wrong.

What components? Using monitor, or tv? What cable using for connecting the graphics card (not onboard) and monitor?

I have a MSI B85 G41 motherboard and an EVGA geforce gtx 960 ssc graphics card. I'm currently using a monitor. The graphics card is connected with a pci-e cable and to the monitor with a standard cable, not sure what kind.

Try removing the graphics card and connecting the monitor to the onboard. What CPU using?

i5 4690k LGA1150. And do you mean to removing it completely and just use the onboard?

Yes. See if getting signal on the monitor.
