Computer wont turn on no lights mobo

I recently put together my system and everything worked but i hadn't received the video card so now when i tried putting in the video card it wont turn on. Removed the card still wont turn on no fans no light on the mobo

asus z170-k
i5 6600k
gtx 980ti
corsair rm750x
samsung evo 850 500gig

Do the "paper clip" test on your PSU. Disconnect the P1 connector from your motherboard, then open a paper clip. Stick on end in the socket with the green wire, and the other in any of the neighboring black wire sockets. If this does not turn on your PSU, replace it.

its brand new though i just bought it today cant imagine it being broken yet

If your PSU doesn't pass the paper clip test, there is nothing it will do for you, except to hold down papers.

Well i found out what was wrong this is kinda funny the power in my room went out.... nice timing

You might want to clear ur cmos by taking out the cmos battery and jumping two pins on ur motherboard usually labelled as CLRRTC
