So I just installed a Cooler Master Seidon 120M liquid cpu cooler over the weekend and I went to turn my computer back on and noticed I forgot the 8 pin cpu connector, so I shut it off and plugged it in, but when I did I pushed the power button and nothing turned on. I have an asus z77 1155 mobo and it has an led on it to show when it gets power to it and eventually it came on. When I saw the led come on I started the computer but I had no video, there was an led indicating memory problems on the mobo, it couldn't post and I had no keyboard power. So I reseated the ram and everything booted up fine, the new cooler was working I played some Diablo 3 for 5 hours and the cpu didn't pass 30 degrees C.
Then yesterday I was on the internet and the computer just shut itself off and restarted with no video, memory problems, no post and no keyboard again. So I reseated the ram again and it booted to the windows log in screen. Then I shut it down through windows and windows shut down but my computers leds and fans and gpu and other things were still running until I held the power button down. Now I'm back to no video, no post, no keyboard again and when I shut my power supply off to check everything inside sometimes the led on the motherboard will not light up again when I give it power.
My friend at work told me the problem is most likely in this order RAM, Mobo, Psu. I'm thinking it's the mobo but not sure how to tell considering sometimes it doesn't get power and when it does I can't see my screen with graphics card or onboard video and I have a light telling me there is something wrong with the ram.
Also I don't know if this has anything to do with it but when I was looking at videos online about this possibly being the psu I noticed everyone's psu fan was spinning at start up. My fan cuts out after 3 secs even when it started normally when I first built the computer. Not sure if it would kick back in though since I can't see inside my case.
Here are my specs:
Intel i7-3770k no overclock
Asus p8z77-v LX Mobo
Corsair vengeance ram 8GB
Corsair HX 750 watt psu
Cooler Master Seidon 120M liquid cooler
Msi Gtx 770 2gb
