Computer won't turn on

So last night I shut down my desktop after doing a little bit of school work and gaming and it shut down fine with no problems, like it does every night. This afternoon when I went to turn the computer on it would not power up at all. Every now and then when I would repeatedly press the power button the LED fan lights would jump on for a millisecond but then it would go back to being dead. I also noticed a weird smell coming from the PC, like ozone/burnt smell.

The computer is not even a year old, and has been working fine up until this point. Any help or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Sorry for the delayed response. I did what you said and the smell seems to be coming from the PSU. I did the paper clip trick connecting one end to the green wire and the other with the black end for the PSU wire that connects with the Mobo. Turned the PC on and nothing happened, so I guess my PSU is fried. Going to get a new one, and will install it later tonight. I will update. Thank you for the advice!

Solution
Okay, so I just installed a new PSU (first time doing it on my own) and the computer powers on, but then it rapidly makes a beep noise for 5 seconds then shuts off. Any ideas? did I install the PSU wrong?

That's strange the ram did that. Well, it's good to hear your back up and running.

I reset the other ram stick now and that's back to working as well, thanks again for the help!
